IT ALSO ACCOMMODATED SANTA FE FREIGHT OPERATIONS UNTIL 1982. IN 1983 CHARLES E. JASTER PURCHASED AND RESTORED THE DEPOT. IT WAS PLACED ON THE NATIONAL REGISTER OF HISTORIC PLACES IN 1986. DEDICATED TO POSTERITY BY LEAVENWORTH COUNTY HISTORICAL SOCIETY 1993
